Born Kevin Michael McKeehan on October 22, 1964, TobyMac grew up in the suburbs of Washington D.C. His love for music began at an early age, and he started rapping in high school. After graduation, he attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he met fellow Christian artist Michael Tait. Together, they formed the iconic Christian band DC Talk.
DC Talk went on to become one of the most successful Christian bands of all time, selling over 8 million albums worldwide.
